No War Between Russia and Ukraine

News media repeatedly state that Ukraine is "at war with Russia" as if it were a fact equivalent to "the sun rises in the east." It is actually utter nonsense. I recall one media nuthead talking to a Russian official who said, "Look, if we had invaded Ukriane you would not have to be asking if we did it." Did anyone have to ask if we invaded Iraq? If Ukraine was at war with Russia it would lose that war in about two days.
Likewise, they keep stating that he "asked Ukraine to investigate a political rival."Also nonsense. Double nonsense in fact. Biden is not a political rival, and will not become one unless he wins the Democratic nomination. In any case, he asked Ukriane to investigate the 2016 US election, and to investigate its own internal corruption. He did not ask Ukraine to investigate Biden.

There are many areas in which what Rush likes to call the "drive-by media" shows clearly that they have no more idea of what's actually going on in the world than my dog. In fact, since my dog is in the family room, frequently perched on my wife's lap, when we watch Fox News, I'd venture to say that he knows more about what's going on in the world than a number of those employed by the drive-by media. It's true he wouldn't be able to discuss it with you (or anybody else), but he sees people like Sean Hannity, Martha McCallum, Steve Hilton and Mark Levin giving their opinion, and if you trust what they have to say, you can trust my dog -- also my wife and me.
Those clowns on other networks have obviously decided that their job is to tell us what we are supposed to believe is going on now, or went on in the past; and as you say, Bill, it bears very little resemblance to what actually did go on, or is going on. You really have to wonder if the members of the drive-by are really that stupid -- did their parents let them play with plastic bags when they were kids?
It reminds me of a novel my wife brought home from the library a couple of years ago, which she stalled out on but which I read. Can't remember the name of it, darn it. It was an "alternate history" of WW II. Bore very little resemblance to the reality of the war, but at least, right up front, it confessed to being total fiction. And it was quite entertaining, unlike the garbage we get from the drive-bys.

Well, if you are going to refer to what is happening in the Ukraine as a "state of war" between Ukraine and Russia you are profoundly wrong. It is more akin to what happened in Charlottesville with the "Unite the Right" rally where ANTIFA showed up and started beating the attendees. (I won't say the "white supremacists" because while there were some there it is likely that there were regular people who showed up as well, not knowing anything about "white supremacism" but who wanted to protect history.)
At any rate, the riots and assaults by Antifa and Black Lives Matter across the country are more in line with the "war"; Ukrainians supporting Russia - and some Russians (many people in the Crimea ARE Russians) fighting with the Ukrainians who want out of the eastern block and into NATO and ultimately the E.U.
So, can't we accuse the Democrats of tampering with the U.S. during a civil war? If we are going to call Ukraine a war, we can equally call what is happening here a civil war.
Which would mean....
Trump has extraordinary powers to quell that war. And the Democrats are in essence engaged in Treason.
That''s what happens when you chop your logic the way they have. If they want to twist things for their own gain we can do the same.
