William Kay
from Canada has done an outstanding job of highlighting the media
colossus behind the apocalyptic version of global warming/
climate
change of not only Bertelsmann, but also Holtzbrinck - two giant German
conglomerates who not only own perhaps more than half of all books sold
today in America, but also were both pro-National Socialist publishing
companies during the tenure of the Third Reich.
Today, Bertelsmann and
Holtzbrinck are at the very dark heart of environmentalis
m
whose tentacles reach from Europe to the Americas and involve books,
magazines, media, and education. Bertelsmann is owned by the ultra
green Mohn family whose clout encapsulates the Club of Rome - a
wonderful fascist name of sorts that plays no small role in churning
out environmentalis
t propaganda literally right and left with much lobbying power in both the West and the Middle East.
According to Kay, Bertelsmann's involvement in promoting the global warming/
climate
change mantra is multi-pronged, including, most insidiously as of late,
fictionalized apocalyptic green books that detail the aftermath of
climate change that are selling enormously right now, "Christened
"cli-fi' by academics circa 2007, this genre consists of fictitious
literature set in apocalyptic futures wracked by human-induced global
warming. Since 2007, some 400 cli-fi novels, countless cli-fi
short-stories, and a dozen successful cli-fi screenplays have spilled
forth. Notable Bertelsmann contributions: The Water Knife (Paola
Bacigalupi); Year of the Flood (Margaret Atwood); Green Earth (Kim
Stanley Robinson), The Gracekeepers (Kirsty Logan), Gold Fame Citrus
(Clare Vaye Walkins), and Solar (Ian McEwan). Cli-fi was co-engineered
with Holtzbrinck in whose catalogs one finds: The Dry (Jane Harper),
The City in the Middle of the Night (Charlie Jane Anders), Odds Against
Tomorrow (Nathaniel Rich), and Green Like Dying (Rouxi Chen) etc. Such
pulp is bought in tonnage by librarians. Cli-fi potboilers are required
reading in high school and university lit classes where they melt into
millions of malleable minds." Move over Tim Lahaye's Christian "Left
Behind" series that so many leftists made fun of when it came out.
While Bertelsmann was bad enough, Holtzbrinck was far worse, and much
more pro-National Socialist with no repentance whatsoever after the
war. Holtzbrinck today owns Macmillan Palgrave, Springer Nature, Nature
magazine, and Scientific American. Macmillan is one of the most
important publishers in the world related to education in schools and
colleges.
Kay thus concludes, "Not alone does Germany bear
Climate’s cross. Germany is, however, uniquely burdened by an
ecological industrial complex compelling kaiser-sized commitment to
this crusade. German agriculture and industry require a climate-rationa
lised
"energy transition.†Germany’s foreign policy establishment,
Holtzbrinck and Bertelsmann included, press this request. Abandon all
notions of impartial climate science. In publish-or-peri
sh
academia, publishers reign. In Holtzbrinck’s alarmist legions march a
thousand journal editors. Shoppers at Barnes & Noble or Waterstones
shouldn’t mistake hundreds of imprints for hundreds of publishers. Most
books on display, nearly all climate ones, merit the imprint: "German
Foreign Office.â€
Much of the environmentalis
t
panic being fostered today originates largely in Europe - a place of
few natural resources, "European climate campaigners seek to level the
playing field between their resource-poor homelands and the
Anglosphere’s natural energy superpowers. German-led states use Climate
Change to enhance renewable energy and electro-mobilit
y exports. Success hinges on controlling cultural assets within the Anglosphere."
Kay is not a Christian (but we have had a number of friendly
exchanges over the years) and begins his long article on the Christian
foundations of Bertelsmann going back as far as the late 1700's, but
German Protestantism was so increasingly compromised both left and
right throughout the 1800's that this is hardly surprising. The
antisemitic replacement theology of the Lutheran Church on the
conservative side of the spectrum was jettisoned by German Theological
Liberalism that was actually more antisemitic than its conservative
relative because it tried to separate the New Testament from what they
viewed to be the Jewish particularism of the Old Testament. This was
one of the primary reasons why historical higher criticism was so
vehemently pursued - particularly with regard to the infamous JEPD
theory. Moreover, its primary philosophical founder, Immanuel Kant,
blew a gasket when he started to talk about Jews in his public
lectures. The growing secularity of German Theological Liberalism under
Kant's great influences eventually led much of Germany to see the
Jewish question/
problem
through racial categories along Social Darwinist lines rather than
religious ones. This transition to racial antisemitism from the earlier
Christian traditional antisemitism was fundamental in converting Jewish
pogroms into something much more godless and virulent under the reign
of National Socialism.
This from a reader:
Overlooked
fact(slightly off subject) is Pearson Publishing (whose major
shareholders include the governments of Qatar, Libya, Saudi Arabia and
Turkey) is the publisher of 85 percent our textbooks which are teaching
ant semitic and anti Christian views along with the common core
curriculum.

Ja! Mark and William are both experts on this subject, and this really was an eye opener.
