To illustrate how topsy-turvy our world has become, a truck driver drove into a crown of protesters walking along I-35 in Minnesota.
Why is this disturbing? Well, these protesters had no legal right to be on an interstate highway. But the Minnesota Department of Public Security had this to say:
Sorry, but demonstrators have no legal right to break any laws, which this group was doing.
It was unclear why the trucker drove into the crowd, but it was clear the run-over pedestrians (who were there illegally) swarmed the vehicle, pulled the driver out, and beat hell out of him.
But they are the victims, yessirreee!
Oh, I'm not saying you should run over people you disagree with, but I am saying the law is supposed to be enforced and these people took their chances hoofing it on the interstate - and probably blocking lanes. They have every right to protest - as long as they obey the law. This was a violation of the law, and the Police are apparently excusing it. And of course the media is making the protesters the victims yet again.
That law is there to protect people. These protesters took it upon themselves to violate that law, precisely to snarl traffic and attract more attention. If you dance you gotta pay the piper.
