Hey, give 'em credit for the correction, and the speediness of it. Had this been CNN, we'd still be waiting for it.

That is true, Dana. On the other hand, these people are SUPPOSED to be professionals. A pro doesn't screw up like that - unless he wants to. I suspect this is one of those things designed to get a point made to someone who doesn't follow up. Like a lawyer saying in court "my client passed a polygraph" and having it struck down; he knows the jury still heard it and some won't disregard it as instructed.

OTOH, this could be attributed to the idea that "you can't get decent help these days." TV stations are supposed to be professional operations, but not all of them are. Outfits like (P)MSNBC and CNN aren't in the same ballpark with Fox News, One America News Network and Newsmax TV, who pay a lot of attention to their product and the dissemination of it. I know you don't have cable and therefore don't get to see what I'm talking about. On any of those networks, a mistake (or even a deliberate glitch) like putting the wrong face on the screen would have been dealt with severely internally -- not necessarily with firing, but I'm pretty sure the right face would have gotten shown very quickly.
In all my years of watching Fox News -- and I was introduced to it by my visiting in-laws during the Algore's attempt to steal the election of 2000 -- I have never seen anything like this on that network. Their focus may have slipped under Murdoch's kids but they still don't pull this kind of stuff.
