Three Quarters of Russians Back War

Timothy Birdnow

For those of you who think the Ukrainian war does not have popular Russian support and that we'll simply wear them down and get rid of Putin, think again.

Yes, a new poll finds 75% of Russians back the war.

So how long are we going to be there? How long before we have to take direct military action?

How long before this thing spirals out of control?

1 Frankly, it may already be out of control, and Dementia Joe seems hell-bent on pushing it farther out of control.

2 I think it might be Dana. Certainly he's pushed this to red line levels and the fan is looking to be covered in excrement.

We are in mortal peril and so many idiots don't see that. I argue with good Conservatives who want this war too. Foolish.

I get not liking Putin and blaming him for the war, and certainly there were things we could have done. But we are getting directly involved in this, and are pushing Putin to take drastic action.

3 Colin Powell argued, "Never enter a war without an exit policy." Biden has burned the bridges of the exit policy as he crossed them, blown up the exit roads and left us with no exit other than suicide.

4 Exactly right Bill. Funny though; the critics of the Iraq War are nowhere to be seen now that we are sliding into this thing in eastern Europe. Strange.

This is a far worse quagmire than Iraq. And we have less clear goals. And it is far, far, far more dangerous. You'd think the anti-war types would all be out protesting this. Where is the nuclear freeze movement now?  Strange how they all seem to be in line with this.

I've always tried to make an honest assessment of this thing, and I am hardly a pacifist, but I am now often called a Russian apolotgist because I try to give their side of the story and also argue this policy we are employing is absolutely nuts. Somehow that makes me an apologist. And I have to keep doing it because the propaganda in the media is staggering. Strangely a lot of Conservatives don't even see that and believe what the media is peddling.

But facts are facts, and the fact is there is no plan here except to force Russia out. No goals set, no solid objectives, and no exit strategy. It's the epitome' of endless war and the type of thing that gave us WWI. That war too was caused by an invasion and a series of entangling alliances.
