Absolute madness when:
- Most people are not at risk of serious illness or death from Covid-19. It is only a threat to the frail elderly and people with co-morbidities. If you are healthy, or young you are probably at greater risk from car accidents or seasonal flu. Neither of which is used as an excuse to keep you under house arrest!
- There is a cheap and effective prophylactic and cure suitable for most patients when used appropriately. Hydroxychloroquine in combination with Zinc and an antibiotic such as azithromycin
- This is a democratic country and yet they've just removed a basic human right. Not just under threat of fine, but jail, if you refuse to pay the fine.
Imagine, the risk of arrest and jail if you dare to go out in public, regardless of having no infection and not being at serious risk of an infection.
This government and others around the world are using authoritarian regulations to distract from the fact they have mishandled this from the get-go and continue to do so.
I'm ashamed that so called developing countries are handling Covid-19 responses better than the developed world.

The media should be labeled as a terrorist organization. The coverage is entirely about "cases†without at any time discussing the severity of those cases. The coverage is carefully designed to create the highest possible level of fear in the public.
They begin the coverage by showing crowded hospitals, specifically crowded emergency facilities, but at no time make any verbal discussion of hospitals, merely continuing to prattle about "cases.†This is designed to imply that there is a flood of severe cases that is keeping hospitals inundated, when in fact hospitals are failing financially and are laying off staff in large numbers because they have no patients at all.
They continue by presenting a single case of a teenager or young adult who died despite not having any preconditions. This implies that such things are common, when in fact they are extremely rare. At no time do they say what the numbers are of actual deaths at all, let alone the demographics of those deaths.
They never, ever mention that, of all these positive tests "cases,†almost 40% experience no symptoms whatever and the vast majority of the remainder are no more than mildly sick for a couple of weeks. They discuss that the disease "may have effects for a lifetime,†but there is so far no medical evidence whatever of that being true.
They use the most dramatic wording possible, like "surging,†and "racing through the community†specifically to make the "pandemic†seem more terrifying and deadly. The definition of "terrorist†is "one who creates fear in a population to achieve a political purpose,†and today’s media certainly meets that definition.

Couldn't agree more, Bill. They are using the exact same technique they used to promote Global Warming. Only Global Warming is stale abc gum. This is new and they are pulling out all the stops to ram it home. It's disgusting.

I'm with "youse guys" all the way. Wouldn't it be great if everybody in the Leftmedia were forced to get a real job, or starve? The tragedy is that there are people who trust them, rather than treat them as the sick jokes that they really are.

You got it Dana. It's amazing how many people STILL trust what they media says. And a couple of years ago I saw a poll showing half of all Americans still use the television news as their primary source of information! How can we stop the Left when people continue to listen to them? They are nothing but propaganda meisters.
