We stopped using fluoride toothpaste years ago and have switched to a brand that contains hydroxyapatite instead. Neither of us have had any cavities in over 10 years.
‘House of Cards’: Several U.S. Cities Hit Pause on Water Fluoridation in Wake of Historic Federal Ruling
Several U.S. cities, towns and counties announced they will stop fluoridating their water in the aftermath of a landmark federal court ruling that found water fluoridation at current levels poses an "unreasonable risk” of reduced IQ in children.
Abilene, Texas; Yorktown and Somers, New York; and the Weber Basin Water Conservancy District in Utah are among those cities and districts that responded quickly to the Sept. 24 ruling by U.S. District Judge Edward Chen.
Chen ruled the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) can no longer ignore the risk fluoridation poses to human — especially children’s — health and that the agency must take regulatory action.
Tim adds:
Remember Dr. Strangelove? Gen. Jack Ripper, who launches the nukes, worries about his precious bodily fluids because he thinks flouridation was a commie plot. His recall code was "purity of essence".
Who looks crazy now?

I know there was a scandal over flouridation when they started doing it and those who thought we needed more data were mocked terribly. Remember Dr. Strangelove?
But now apparently there is enough evidence against it to warrant a court to intervene.
In all fairness I never get cavities or the like and grew up with flouridated water and toothpaste. But was that the flouride or just my genetics? My grandparents had little in the way of dental issues too.
