Donald Trump lives rent free inside the media's little wooden noggins. Case in point; upset that President Trump (my how that first part galls the media, who still refuse to admit they were unable to drag Hillary's rather bloated carcass across the electoral finish line) tweeted an eye poke about how the media is the enemy of the American People, CNN's Wolf Blitzer (yeah; he's definitely blitzed) howled:

"We Are Not the Enemy of the American People, We love the American People"

End quote.

This after railing against the President for not just accepting their criticisms with head hung low, as previous Republicans have done.

Blitzer doesn't seem to get it; Trump didn't create the media bias that has driven the American People to embrace him, he simply pointed it out, the first politician in ages to actually fight against it. Oh, and despite what Blitzer and David Gregory said, there has not been equal criticisms of Republicans and Democrats. That is painfully obvious to anyone paying attention.

Blitzer prefaced his comment by saying:

"Everybody's always criticizing us and not happy with our coverage whether it was President Clinton or President Bush or President - they're all criticized,"

But that is patently untrue; the media patted Mr. Clinton on the back, for instance, for BEING SUCH A SLICK LIAR" but has gone after Republicans for any perceived coloring of the truth. The media refused to report things that were damaging to Clinton - like the Monica Lewinsky scandal, which had to be broken by a bloger on the internet named Matt Drudge because the media spiked the story. And when the media did criticize Mr. Clinton it did so judiciously, nitpicking minor things that would not hurt his credibility. Republicans never were accorded such kindnesses.

Notice that the Wolf doesn't mention Obama. There truly was a slobbering love affair between the media and America's first black/marxist/muslim educated and Muslim Brotherhood supporting President (and, as a member of Chicago's New Party Obama certainly qualifies as Marxist) and the media never criticized the Obama Administration, much less mr. Obama himself. Blitzer's denial of this very fact, or his omission in the case of Obama, is itself fake news and a big part of why the public loves it when Trump trashes them.

But is Blitzer's claim the media loves the American People true?

The American media almost always seems to side with the international community or with foreign entities over the U.S. Be it on illegal immigration, or the war on terror, or making America energy independent, the media always seems to support the side against U.S. interests and for internationalism. The want the U.S. border to be open. They want anyone who wishes to come to America to be able to just waltz right in, no questions asked. They opposed the Trump plan to suspend immigration from countries riddled by terrorism. They demanded that we not invade Iraq without a u.N. resolution (in other words, that we have to have permission). They supported Black Lives Matter rioting and protests, tearing apart communities and killing people. They have pushed for a new Cold War with Russia, the only power on Earth capable of truly nuking the U.S. into a graveyard. They push for European style socialism here, and supported the horribly destructive Obamacare scheme. They have pushed all manner of environmentalist wet dreams, including the full throttle assaults on the coal industry and have tried to kill hydraulic fracturing - fracking - which threatened to make America energy independent. They have pushed for non reciprocal trade so that our manufacturing industry has been dying, leaving Americans out of work so foreign nations can raise capital.

They clearly see themselves as citizens of the world first. Doubt that? How many times did the media refuse to take sides in any of the recent wars? They were always saying they had to be objective, despite working for companies like the American Broadcasting Corporation. Most have refused to wear the American flag.

There have been numerous studies that have confirmed media bias. For example, the 1986 by political scientists Robert Lichter, Stanley Rothman, and Linda Lichter study which proved a strong left wing bent among mainstream journalists. There was the study by Jim A. Kuypers: Press Bias and Politics: How the Media Frame Controversial Issues which confirmed this conclusion. Numerous polls and questionaires show the overwhelming majority of the media votes solidly for Democrats and supports all manner of progressive policies.

At best, the media is like many of the people who promoted many of the old Jim Crow laws. Contrary to modern opinion, those laws were not always solely to oppress the freed blacks but often were insultingly condescending laws designed with overall good intentions. For instance, it was believed that it was better to segregate black people in certain places so they would be safe from offending their white neighbors, and of course they were too stupid to not know how to deal with those white neighbors. The framers of said laws often imposed them because they firmly believed that black people were mentally children, true inferiors,  and had to be carefully guided. Yes, there were many who wanted to keep black people out of sight, but a lot of the supporters of these laws (and they were almost all Democrats, by the way) thought they were protecting the black community by restricting and isolating them. The media views the American public in just that way. If there is no outright animus (and there is; how often have they sneered at the average American outside of the citadels of power?} there is an insulting condescension, a sense of entitled superiority from the media. They really do believe we can't wipe our own bottoms without their guidance. We are ignorant, gun totting, toothless hillbillies who would be eating possum and drinking methanol-laced moonshine were it not for them. They love us the way a rich southern gentleman loved a black maid on his daddy's estate; he'd whisper a few sweet nothings, do his business, then hope his friends and family didn't find out. That is how the media loves the American People. We are the secret they both joke about and string along in shame.

That Blitzer has to even say what he said is illustrative of how little they think of us. He couldn't even admit that there is a real problem.

*note: Some examples of Jim Crow laws that were well intentioned but horribly paternalistic include segregation at polling places, which was intended to make it easier for black people to exercise their franchise and not be intimidated (of course it only made it easier to keep blacks away from the polls), prison segregation (to avoid murder of black inmates), laws against marriage or sexual congress between races (intended to stop lynchings), separate dining areas to guarantee blacks could receive some service (otherwise they would not get food at all) and a host of others. These may have had good intentions, but we know what road is paved by good intent.

**The Jim Crow laws were implemented throughout the Progressive era and dovetailed with the eugemics movement, which gave rise to Naziism and other racist orthodoxies. The Progressives of the day were all on board with Jim Crow then, and the media Progressives appear to be on board with the modern Jim Crow now as they seek to disenfranchise the American People via illegal immigration, unwillingness to keep voter roles accurate, their manipulation of the news, etc.
