The San Diego paper (behind a paywall) printed an article about how the number of "cases" and, more importantly, hospitalizations has increased this month to numbers not seen since last January.
This despite the fact that last January the vaccine was not yet available, and as of now 85% of people in the county have had at least one dose and 75% are "fully vaccinated.â€
Those numbers need explaining. How can the degree of illness be the same with that rate of successful vaccination? If the vaccine is working that poorly, why the mad rush to get everyone vaccinated?
Interestingly, they no longer say that "100% of those who fall ill are unvaccinated†as they were saying a month or so ago. They are now saying that "an unvaccinated person is five times more likely to become ill.â€
