"For there shall be wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestillence, and earthquakes in diverse places"
We Are Witnessing Alarming Seismic Instability Along the East Coast, the New Madrid Fault Zone and the West Coast
The usual suspects had some quakes (like California or the Kamchatka peninsula) but there were quakes on the East Coast as well as in Arkansas from the New Madrid fault. I would remind everyone the New Madrid (pronounced New MAAD-rid in them thar parts) fault produced the second strongest earthquake ever in North America, second only to an even bigger one in Alaska. The Mississippi river flowed backwards (north) for weeks after the quake. Fortunately in 1811 there weren't many people to die from it, nor many buildings. A major quake now would obliterate St. Louis as most of the buildings there are old - mine was built in 1927 and was sort of the snooty suburbs at that time.
At any rate the last few years have seen a big increase in earthquakes, as well as floods, wars, pestillences and other natural disasters. AS Jesus said, thesse are but the beginning of sorrows, for then shall be tribulation such as never has been seen by the world before nor shall ever be seen again - and unless those days be shortened there would be no flesh saved.
The people causing this ultimately - the haters of Christ who worship nature - just double down, blaming it on "climate change" when in fact things happening inside the planet have zero to do with atmospheric concentrations of co2.
But other things, things tied to Milakovitch cycles and our position in space, can. And that can influence the planet's temperature as well.
Ultimately this is not Gaia (a false goddess) expressing her displeasure at industrail society, it is perhaps instead God Almighty warning Mankind to repent. Sadly few seem to be listening.
In other apocalyptical news Open AI guy Sam Altman is pitching a worldwide i.d. system using retinal or fingerprint scanning. Sound familiar?

Of course we are having a statistically insubstantial surface warming anyway.
I may have it all wrong; wish I could talk to Richard Cronin about this (since I lost Facebook I lost my link with the geochemist.)
