I don't know anything about this writer, but he sure makes a good case.
Here is a brief excerpt.
" The Hondurans in the caravan, the 7,000 people walking north to America, where do they go to the bathroom?
And eat and sleep and store their clothes?
And how is it that after a week on the road they are clean and their hair and clothes are well kept?
How is any of this possible? "
End excerpt.
Do read the entire essay.
A NOTE FROM TIM:
He does make one mistake though; he says an army can only march 25 miles a day. Well, Harold Godwinson, newly minted King of England, marched his militia 200 miles north in four days to meet Harold Hardrake and his invading Vikings at Stamford Bridge near Yorkshire, fought a vicious, victorious battle, then had to march them another 200 miles in four more days to meet William at Hastings. It was a remarkable feat for a lot of poorly shod feet. In the end Harold failed, and England fell to the Normans. Of course, it was highly unusual.
See plink=http://tbirdblog.blogspot.com/2005/10/anniversary-of-hastings.html#comments]the old Birdblolg for my telling of that particular tale.
