Another False Witness against Kavanaugh

Timothy Birdnow

Thar she blows!

In what was destined to be an inevitable event, another woman has emerged to accuse Brett Kavanaugh of sexual impropriety, this time at Yale where he is accused of exposing himself to a drunhken yong lady at a party his freshman year.

Courtesy of Fox News: The latest detailed accusation was made by Debbie Ramirez, who in a New Yorker article alleged Kavanaugh exposed himself to her during a Yale University party.

Ramirez claimed Kavanaugh committed the act while she was intoxicated during a drinking game in the 1983-84 academic year, when Kavanaugh was a freshman. She also claimed she inadvertently touched Kavanaugh's penis when she pushed him away and said the incident left her "embarrassed and ashamed and humiliated."

The report stated that the magazine had not corroborated that Kavanaugh was at the party in question. An anonymous male classmate said he was told that Kavanaugh had exposed himself to Ramirez within the following days.

Ramirez admitted to the magazine that she does not fully remember the alleged incident because she had been drinking at the time. The magazine also reported that Ramirez spent six days "carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney" before telling the full version of her story.

Kavanaugh responded that the event "did not happen” and that the allegation is "a smear, plain and simple.”

The report emerged just as the Senate Judiciary Committee had scheduled a Thursday hearing to receive testimony from the nominee's first accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, who alleges Kavanaugh held her down and tried to force himself on her while both were in high school."

This was as predictable as the sun rising. The Democrats long ago learned their lesson; you can't take someone down with just one witness. It didn't work for Clarence Thomas. It didn't work when Bill Clinton was impeached (there are numerous women who have accused Clinton of sexual misconduct over the years, but Mr. Kavanaugh and the Starr Report, which he worked on, zeroed in on only one as they didn't want to be seen as "beating up" on Clinton, a mistake.) So the Democrats have used multiple "bimbo eruptions" to take down Republicans - look at Roy Moore, for example. Only one woman accused Moore of anything but dating them (well, actually two, but the second was a Gloria Allred (purposeful sic) protege who was unquestionably lying.) It worked; the GOP ran for the tall grass.

Will it work now?

Speaking of the Allred bimbo eruption, there is a comparable one also in the works. Also from the Fox article:

"His office released the statement as a third potential allegation arose from Michael Avenatti, the attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels, who claims Kavanaugh and others targeted women with "alcohol/drugs" to allow men to gang rape them at high school parties. This accusation has lacked any corroboration to date."

End excerpt.

Ri-ight!

This is precisely why the Republicans should have forced a vote lasst week rather than stretching this out. The Democrats - totally desperate to sink this nomination - needed time to find someone, to scrub their electronic footprints, and to craft their statements. It should have been clear that this was coming. Sadly, the GOP still has not figured out that they will do whatever it takes to get their way. The Democrats are purely Macchiavellian, and power is all they care about. If they have to destroy lives in the process, so be it.

In Arthur Koestler's Darkness at Noon the protagonist is a loyal Communist who was arrested and will be put on trial during the Stalin show trials and purge. He is told by the man who has been interrogating him "some day you will be recognized as a hero to the Revolution, a martyr, but now you must die in disgrace" (I am paraphrasing here; don''t remember the exact wording from the novel.)

This is exactly what the Democrats are thinking here; the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or in this case their needs outweigh the rights of those evil reactionary Republicans. If Kavanaugh must be destroyed, well, you have to break a few eggs. When the Worker's Paradise comes all will be set right....

This is evil.
